Psychotherapy is the art and science of human change. I understand that if you are thinking about therapy you may feel frightened or overwhelmed. It is a difficult decision for each of us to face painful aspects of our life that no longer work for us. It takes courage for you look at yourself honestly. It is essential that you feel welcomed, safe, heard, and understood, never judged or criticized. My task is to provide a safe, supportive, and confidential space so that together we can discuss your thoughts and feelings, your fears and fantasies, your problems, questions, and dreams. At times, our work may be challenging. My goal is to help you develop a greater sense of your self and your well-being. By developing a deeper understanding of yourself you will be able to restore a sense of vitality and meaning to yur life.
This image is a stylized representation of a nautilus, which is a sea creature, a living fossil, closely related to the ammonite which swam in ancient oceans millions of years ago. This fossil is often associated with change, resiliency, and overcoming obstacles. It is an image for growth and evolution. Following the spiral you will cross similar points and each crossing will change your depth of perspective. For us, this is an excellent symbol of the therapy process.
